Overview

AmortCalc is an independently operated calculator website. This policy explains what information is processed when you visit and use the site.

Loan calculations run in your browser. The site does not submit calculator inputs to an application server. If you create a share link, the calculator inputs are encoded in the URL fragment so the recipient's browser can restore them; fragments are not included in normal HTTP requests. Anyone you share that link with can see those assumptions.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

If you email the address published on the Contact page, your message and email address are delivered to the publisher through Gmail. The site does not host a contact form or store those messages in its application server. Google may process the message as the email service provider; see Google's Privacy Policy. Do not email account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial information. Messages may remain in the publisher's mailbox until deleted.

Automatically collected information

We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-RXTS2941VB) to measure visits. Google may process IP address and browser/device information, referrer origin, page title, and clean page URL, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Analytics is a third-party service; Google's data handling is described in its own policies. Calculator values are not intentionally included in analytics page URLs. Shared-link values are stored in the URL fragment and can be read by anyone who receives the link. Standard hosting/CDN infrastructure may log request metadata.

Advertising

The Google AdSense loader is installed across the site. Google may use it to serve and measure ads if ad units or Auto ads are enabled for this publisher account. Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as IP address, browser or device details, page activity, and advertising identifiers, and may store or access cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, personalization, measurement, and fraud prevention. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the publisher must provide applicable privacy disclosures and obtain required consent. Google requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework when serving personalized ads in those regions. The publisher must configure an appropriate consent message and ad-serving settings in AdSense before enabling personalized ads there.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your dark/light mode preference. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar storage. Google AdSense and participating ad partners may store or read cookies or other identifiers when ads are served, subject to applicable choices and consent requirements.

Data Security

We do not intentionally transmit calculator values to our application server or analytics. Shared links contain the assumptions in their URL fragment; treat those links as sensitive and share them only with people you trust. Analytics and hosting providers may process standard connection metadata as described above.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll post the revised policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
